This high-energy\, heart-filled night features Mama Quilla on the decks and a live performance by indie favourites Hugo and the Hive. \nThis free event invites the entire community—queer folk and allies together\, aged 16 years and over—to celebrate diversity\, inclusion\, and pride in alignment with Wear it Purple Day\, a national initiative supporting LGBTQIA+ young people. \nPride Party champions intergenerational inclusion\, offering a safe\, empowering\, and welcoming environment for LGBTQIA+ community and their allies across all generations. It’s a bold expression of visibility and solidarity in the Noosa Hinterland—celebrating who we are and who we stand beside. While this event shines a spotlight on our young people\, we truly encourage all ages (16+) to come out and party. \nSo wear purple\, bring your sparkle\, and join us. Everyone 16+ is welcome—let’s celebrate pride\, community\, and connection together!

DESCRIPTION:Promenade with PRIDE is your fancy dress party and formal redo- a chance to BE YOU! \nSome of us missed our school formals or for many reasons\, didn’t feel that we could express our true selves at these special occasions. Some of us just loved our formals and want to do it all again!  This is an opportunity to dress up and enjoy a night of music and dancing\, social connection and celebrating our resilient community. Prom’s festive vibes include live performances by local indie-pop-rock band Hugo and the Hive and dance beats spun by DJ Su Real. \nThis event is for all community ages 16 + – a safe and inclusive space beyond the binary that transcends boundaries and celebrates diversity.     \nDoors open 6pm. \nBuilding social connection and resilience. \nPomona & District Community House thanks the support of Noosa Council. DESCRIPTION:Pomona & District Community House is hosting Harmony Week Events in celebration of inclusiveness and a sense of belonging for all. It’s a chance for community to come together\, share\, learn and celebrate our diversity. \nDid you know almost half of Australians were either born overseas or have a parent who was. \nEven if you can’t make it to the events\, you can still participate. Wear orange in Harmony Week (18-24 March) to show your support. \nCome to all the events or what fits in with your day.  Please book in for the sessions you are interested in so we know numbers. \nAFTERNOON WORKSHOPS\n3pm – Welcome to Country and Art Workshop by Zartisha Davis (paint a mini canvas)\n3:45pm – Bollywood Style dance session\n4:30pm – Language Walk. Build confidence to learn another language \nCOMMUNITY MEAL\n5:00pm – 7:00pm Community Meal Share.\nIf you would like to volunteer some time to help prepare the community meal please let us know via the bookings form and we will contact you. \nMUSIC\n7:00pm – Cooran State School Choir and Pomona State School Choir\n7:30pm – A quick 15 minute bollywood style dance moment\n7:45pm – Cooran Choir and ASCA\n8:15pm – Raffle Draw(Money raised go to PCH Community Pantry)\n8:30pm – Groove time with “High Life Dance Band” fusion of Western and African Grooves. \n
