DESCRIPTION:Pomonapalooza is back! \nPomona & District Community House (PCH) is kicking off QLD Youth Week with big sound celebrating local talent. \nPomonapalooza music fest is a FREE live music event for the whole community to enjoy on Sunday April 12 at the Pomona Memorial School of Arts Hall. The event showcases local youth bands from across the region and this year will be headlined by indie rockers Karma Police. Now in its third consecutive year\, Pomonapalooza continues to provide a live performance opportunity for young musicians. The event plays an important role in supporting the development of young artists in the region.  Pomonapalooza is happening for our young people. But we really encourage the whole community to come- families\, music lovers\, and anyone who wants to see what our young local artists are creating. \nPomonapalooza gives young emerging musicians a platform to perform\, engage new audiences\, connect with their peers and work with creative industry professionals. \nWho’s playing: \n\nKarma Police\nBland\nFour Runnders\nCorksCrew\nDuke Street\n\nDoors open at 3.00pm.  This is a drug-and-alcohol-free event. \nPomona & District Community House would like to thank Pomona Majestic Theatre\, Pomona Memorial School of Arts\, Paul Bielby EXP Realty\, Pomona Music Collective\, Noosa Council’s HONC | Live Music program and Your Local Lifestyle for their support.  Thank you to the local professional creatives providing many free hours to help this event go ahead. \nHome of New Creatives | Live Music is supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund – a partnership between the Queensland Government and Noosa Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

DESCRIPTION:This very special music event will feature a ‘songwriters in the round’ concert hosted by Lawrence Menard (from Those Folk) performing in a round-robin with fellow musicians Kim McCartin\, Ewan Cloonan (of the Humbuckin’ Pickups) and Anjali Leonard. \nFollowing the songwriters round\, alt-country sensation Kim McCartin will take to the stage again and will be joined by her band for a lively closing performance. \nPomona Music Collective encourages our music-loving community to join us for what will be a fabulous show celebrating the craft that is song-making and our talented local musicians. \nTickets are $25 + booking fee. DESCRIPTION:Pomona and District Community House (PCH) thought it was time to build again and what better day than on Cooroy Pomona Lions Club POMONA FAMILY FUN DAY! \nBring yourself\, bring your family\, bring your friends\, bring your neighbours – lets get building together! \nAndrew & Damian from Clicking Bricks (Season 2 LEGO Masters and Season 5 Grand Masters) are going to be on hand to help you realise your Lego creations. They’ll be delivering 1 hour Lego build workshops around the theme of Building Holidays. \nFamilies\, friends and neighbours are encouraged to come and build together. Community is what it’s about. Whether you are new to the area or have seen many seasons here in the Noosa hinterland we’d love to see you. \nBookings essential for the 1 hour Lego build workshop. (To ensure everyone gets a go please only book into one session.) \nParents/carers please note that children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. \nThree Sessions offered: \n\n10am-11am Lego Build Workshop session\n11:30am-12:30pm Lego Build Workshop session\n1:00pm-2:00pm Lego Build Workshop session\n\nWhy not check out what got built at the last Community Build – Building Home with Andrew & Damian last year. \nWe’ll also have on display the builds of Community House and Lawson Shed that Andrew & Damian built for us last year. Another chance for community to connect. \nExplore the myriad of ways to get involved\, and meet representatives from local groups\, clubs\, and not-for-profit organisations are making a real impact in the Noosa Hinterland.
