November sees Pomona & District Community House turn 30. That’s 30 years of supporting the Noosa hinterland communities and we would love community to come and celebrate with us on Friday, 28 November 3-5pm with nibbles and drinks on the verandah at Community House. All welcome.
Pomona & District Community House (PCH) is a seed that grew thanks to a group of community members joining together, and it is still going strong thanks to many active citizens in our community who host a social group, volunteer their time, and drop by with a thank you or ask how they can be of help.
On Friday 28 November, we’ll also be launching our 30 year history collection which is a living document that we will be updating throughout 2026. So even if you can’t make the 28th, please drop by and share your stories of PCH with us. There’s gaps in the story and we are keen to hear from everyone who has been a part of PCH over the last 30 years; and even those who lived in the Station Masters house before. Yes, we’ve always been a home!
As part of hearing about the past, we are also keen to hear about your visions of PCH for the future and how we can continue to support our local hinterland communities. The PCH team will be out and about in 2026 so if you have time have a chat with us and let us know your ideas.
Pomona & District Community House remains committed to being a place where everyone belongs and where difference becomes the foundation for a stronger community.
