We turn down the volume, but not the talent—Palooza Unplugged is the stripped-back edition of Pomonapalooza, where audiences tune in closer to young acoustic artists and performers.
‘Unplugged’ extends the mic to solo acts, duos (yes, even trios!), spoken-word poets, and emerging comics.
Saturday June 13 at Lawson Shed, Palooza Unplugged opens with a delicious winter meal from 5.00pm and live music from 6.00pm.
This is an ‘open mic’ event for performers 12-25 years where all ages are invited to be the audience and celebrate the gifts and talents of young people.
Hosted by Pomona & District Community House’s youth program, The Social, this event builds creative skills while offering a welcoming, intimate space for young artists to perform and be heard.
As the evening unfolds, it all leads to a very special finale—The Social is thrilled to have Grace Alexandra close out the night with a special set.
Grace Alexandra is a First Nations Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from South-East Queensland, known for her honest storytelling and genre-blending sound across folk, pop, country, and rock.
Grace brings a creatively driven, neurodiverse perspective to her music, and is passionate about supporting youth initiatives and using her platform to inspire other young people.
The gig is free for community to enjoy but please bring cash for tucker- fundraising to support The Social.
Performers aged 12-25 years who are keen to play Palooza Unplugged, let Kate Rose know, drop by PCH or text: 0490 801 618.
