For our monthly explore the garden we are celebrating Neighbourhood Centre Week 13-19 May.
It’s about connecting through creative recovery and garden recovery.
Come to one or all sessions.
10:00am-12:00pm – Straw Creatures with artist Kathryn Shewring
There’s often lots going on in our busy lives and we so easily forget to give ourselves time for us; to breathe deeply; to think; to play. We invite you to come and join us for a relaxing and creative playdate with members of the Cooroora Creative Recovery team. We will be working with straw, wool and string to make animals and creatures from our environment. This is an opportunity to connect with others, to enjoy the creative process and to reflect on the birds, animals and other wildlife present in the environment we love and care for
12:00pm – 3:00pm – Light Lunch and Garden Recovery with Tracie Sheehan
Shared light lunch ready to get into the garden. Help us with garden bed opening, citrus pruning and the compost area retrofit – we’re thinking potting bench and tropical garden bed.
3:00pm – 5:00pm – Straw Creatures with artist Kathryn Shewring plus Sausage Sizzle
Kathryn will be leading us again in a creative playdate with members of the Cooroora Creative Recovery team.
Bring a hat, water bottle and snack.
