Community Connect

Volunteers Fair

Promoting active citizenship! Stronger Together.
No bookings required. Just turn up.

Stronger Together is the theme for Neighbourhood Centre Week. It is a tribute to the incredible strength that blossoms when diverse individuals unite for a common purpose. Through collaborative initiatives, inclusive programs, and shared spaces, an environment is cultivated where every voice is heard, every story is valued, and every community member contributes to the vibrant mosaic of their community. That sounds like our beautiful hinterland communities!

In celebration of Neighbourhood Centre Week (13-19 May) and National Volunteers Week (20-26 May) Pomona & District Community House (PCH) presents the Volunteers Fair. Another chance for community to connect.

Explore the myriad of ways to get involved, and meet representatives from local groups, clubs, and not-for-profit organisations are making a real impact in the Noosa Hinterland. Whether you’re passionate about the environment, arts and culture, community support, or sports, there’s a volunteer opportunity for you!

Discover how your skills and interests can make a difference and find flexible volunteer opportunities that fit your schedule and lifestyle.  Enjoy a chai, cuppa and tasty treat while listening to a range of short talks on opportunities to help out in your community. A range of activities on offer, including playful movement and craft and free tub plants thanks to Noosa Council.

We’ll also be launching the Community Compass publication. A guide to volunteering in the Noosa hinterland.
